Pandemic Essentials: Surrender Gratitude & Exercise
Dear Friends,
I’ve found gratitude, exercise, and surrender to be SO valuable during this intense time of change & transformation. Personally, this pandemic has been a real roller coaster of emotions; fears, disappointment, anger and continually noticing the need to let go. Maybe you can relate.
The world paused, and while some parts of the world are getting back to normal, that’s not happening here in the US.
What can I do?
Surrender. Let go of my need to have control, and to run the world.
(One note, this is much easier said than done). This is ongoing work, a continual practice, and usually, I don’t notice it’s necessary until I’m in a lot of pain.
Gratitude: Always important, but now more than ever. Here’s today’s list:
--Walking outside in the early morning air when it’s fresh and seeing green everywhere
—My garden and the plants that provide so much support
—Practicing yoga at least a few times a week. Why does yoga work so well to improve sleep? I’m always amazed.
—My family, it’s so comforting to have them in my life right now
Exercise: On a daily basis I notice if I move and get in some exercise, especially in the morning, my mood is better all day, and I’m more productive.
